Tough love is a sonic dark romantic experience. Each song represents a different form of Tough love. A dark romance in Hollywood. Growing up in LA at the age of 17, now being 23 Ive experienced a lot and learned so much about my self and love itself. All of these songs are written either about my own experiences, lessons and who I am today or inspired by a fantasy Ive created in my mind and heart. These love songs tell the truth of what I desire and crave deeply, a love that is exciting and passionate and impossible to find in Hollywood, writing these songs are the closest Ill ever get to living it. Words are spells. Songs are spells. I love writing about love because though its fleeting in those moments while Im creating the record, its true. I live in it, feel it on my skin, close my eyes, taste it and make it real. Whether its something I want, something I had, something Im missing, it is mine all the same. Tough love is about the darkest and toughest parts of love, songs for those themselves who are tough to love, and songs for love thats tough to find.
