Gianfranco Mingozzi directs this Italian horror starring Florinda Bolkan as Flavia, a 15th century nun who rebels against the cruel patriarchal society she has been brought up in. When Islamic forces invade her local province Flavia sides with them hoping to be rid of her barbaric male rulers. However, she soon discovers that masculine domination is not limited to her own region of the world.
