Brewing Up with Billy Bragg is the second album by Billy Bragg, originally released in 1984.
This long overdue vinyl reissue comes in a gatefold sleeve and was remastered by John Webber at Air Studios using high-resolution transfers made from master tapes in Billy's archives. There will also be a limited edition run of coloured vinyl albums.
Following the DIY punk minimalism of his debut album Lifes A Riot (With Spy vs Spy) (83), Brewing Up with Billy Bragg has a similar sonic palette. Opening with an attack on the tabloid press in It Says Here, and closing with some soulful Hammond organ on A Lover Sings via some beautiful trumpet on The Saturday Boy., Brewing Up was produced by Edward De Bono and made Top 10 in NMEs 1984 albums of the year.
