August Burns Reds tenth full-length Season of Surrender sees them craft an album that effortlessly integrates the brutal breakdowns of their classic era with instrumental flourishes. This album is rooted in traditional August Burns Red and I think its the heaviest album weve written in a long time, explains vocalist Jake Luhrs. From the technical mastery of Behemoth to the unbridled aggression of Legions (which features The Devil Wears Pradas Mike Hranica), Season of Surrender sees the Lancaster, PA quintet further developing their sonic identity while staying true to the bands roots as metalcore trailblazers.
