The legendary concert of Jeff Beck and Stevie Ray Vaughan (SRV) in New York City took place on November 11, 1989 - a historic performance captured on the release "Tornado of Guitars." This iconic show was broadcast by several TV and radio stations, cementing its status in guitar history. Throughout their joint tour, Beck and Vaughan rotated the opening and headlining slots each night. On this specific night in New York, Stevie Ray Vaughan opened the evening, followed by Jeff Becks set. The performance offered an incredible contrast between Vaughans earthy, fiery Texas Blues and Becks experimental, technically brilliant Fusion-Rock. For many fans, the ultimate highlight was the encore, where both legends shared the stage for a high-octane jam.
