The band name Fjorden Baby! originates from an expression in a socially realistic prose text written by the poet "Toggi" from Loddefjord. The band plays experimental rock in Norwegian. Genre mixes are a central part of the music, where parallels have been drawn to punk and new-wave such as The Clash, The Very Worst and Talking Heads. Other parallels are the "Manchester sound" of the 80''s a''la Happy Mondays, New Order and The Stone Roses.
