No doubt about it, Karen Souza is one of the great new voices of todays jazz. After the unexpected success of her fantastic debut album: Essentials, Karen partnered with American producer Joel McNeely for her sophomore
project. Karens personal vocals floats between clouds of vintage-sounding strings and horns. Also, for her unique take on Marvin Gayes classic I Heard It Through the Grapevine, she had the opportunity to have several musicians from Gaye''s original band performing with her. Recorded in Los Angeles, Hotel Souza is one of the most anticipated albums of the season. Gatefold Clear Vinyl LP.
