1983 BROADCAST CAPTURING R.E.M. ON THE CUSP OF INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS This superb live broadcast from renowned East Coast club, The Paradise in Boston, in July 1983, captures the original 4-piece R.E.M. at a creative peak. The Athens, Georgia-based band had spent the past couple of years relentlessly gigging and touring the continental United States. They had released their extraordinary debut album, ''Murmur'', earlier in the year and had written, and were already honing onstage some of the superb songs that would grace its stunning follow-up, ''Reckoning'', in 1984.
